Kids-Niche Feature: Kinnikinnick First Grade

Here's this week's glimpse into what's happening in our Kids-Niche Programs! These feature lessons, activities, and saunters from a different classroom each week.

Today's feature: Kinnikinnick's Trashformations Project

This month, the Kinnikinnicks have been working hard on our Sustainable Art Show Trashformations creation! First, we conceptualized what we wanted our ‘creature’ to be - making a visual picture in our heads and voting on what parts should be included. Next, we sauntered to Home ReSource, divvied up the parts to be found, and set off through the store to find them. BIG thanks to Home ReSource for donating all of our creature parts! Then, came the task of finding where to put them and how to attach them. We had a lot of fun determining where they would go and problem solving how to keep them there! Lastly, came the spray painting. Find out how our creature turned out and see all the other Trashformation creations at the Sustainable Art Show next Friday at La Stella Blu!
