Each week we'll feature glimpses into what happens in and out of our classrooms here at school! These will include lessons, activities, centers, and saunters from both our day school and Kids Niche programs.
Today's feature: the Meadowlark Classroom's Cardboard Construction Zone.
Our Dramatic Play corner is quite the creative endeavor. Inspired by Caine, a young boy in East LA who creates his own cardboard arcade in his father's used auto parts shop, the Meadowlarks have been building, destroying, imagining, and learning in our dramatic play corner! If you would like to learn more about Caine, check out this short film: http://cainesarcade.com (we watched the first half in class to initiate the exploration). While it may look like utter chaos, there is a ton of discovery, innovation, and creativity taking place in the cardboard maze the Meadowlarks have created!
