Welcome to the Explorers class!

We are a group of Kindergarten and Pre-Kindergarten students guided in our academic discoveries and naturalist training by our teacher, TJ.  As Explorers we are beginning our school lives as a group of excited individuals who are creating a classroom community that cares about each other and the world around us.  Our academic groundwork is taught from a variety of sources and woven into our thematice studies of trees, mapping, the water cycle, Montana mammals, as well as other place based themes.  It is our goal to learn how to be lifelong learners by working together both inside and outside of the classroom in our educational studies.  We practice this by talking, reading, listening, singing, looking, drawing, smelling, writing, playing, laughing, and being outside in nature exploring the wonders that Missoula has to offer.  These posts will give you a glimpse into the Explorer class of 2011-2012, we hope you enjoy it as much as we are.
