TUITION AND ENROLLMENT INFORMATION 2017-2018

Thank you for your interest in Clark Fork School! Founded in 1982, Clark Fork School is Missoula’s natural alternative for Preschool and Kindergarten education. Our progressive, parent-guided co-op offers small classes, a nature-based curriculum, and structured academics taught by exceptional educators in a play-based environment. For 30 years, our student-centered philosophy and experiential learning have been inspiring wonder, nurturing growth, and developing the best in our community’s children.

 

OPPORTUNITIES FOR ENROLLMENT

Families are enrolled in the following order: 1) currently enrolled students; 2) siblings of currently enrolled students; 3) children from families formerly enrolled at CFS; 4) families currently on the waitlist; and 5) new families. Clark Fork School has an open enrollment policy and processes applications in each category on a first-come, first- served basis in accordance with available openings.

Preschool Program (2-5 year olds)

    • Tuesday/Thursday, 9:00am to 1:00pm: $2116, payable in 9 monthly payments of $235.
    • Tuesday/Thursday, 9:00am to 3:00pm: $3030, payable in 9 monthly payments of $337.
    • Monday/Wednesday/Friday, 9:00am to 1:00pm: $3174, payable in 9 monthly payments of $353.
    • Monday/Wednesday/Friday, 9:00am to 3:00pm: $4545, payable in 9 monthly payments of $505.
    • Monday-Friday, 9:00am to 1:00pm: $5290, payable in 9 monthly installments of $588.
    • Monday-Friday, 9:00am to 3:00pm: $7213, payable in 9 monthly installments of $801.

 

Kindergarten Program

Monday-Friday, 9:00am to 3:00pm: $7213, payable in 9 monthly installments of $801

 

Extended Care

CFS does offer Before Care from 7:45a.m.-9:00a.m. for an additional $5 per day and After Care from 3:00-6:00 for an additional $10-$12 per day for our currently enrolled families. Parents must make arrangements for extended childcare services in advance with CFS’s office. 

 

Scholarship information

Financial assistance is available to families enrolled at CFS based on availability of scholarship funds, income eligibility and special family circumstances.  The financial aid application process requires the completion of your 2016 tax return and a CFS in-house application (available in the office). Clark Fork School also accepts Best Beginnings Scholarships for preschool students and participates in Montana’s ACE Scholarship Program for students in Kindergarten.

 

Other costs and fees

A deposit is due at the time of enrollment ($300 for part-time preschool students; $600 for kindergarten and full-time preschool students). The full amount of this deposit will be applied to your May 2018 tuition or rolled-over to the 2018-2019 academic year for those continuing enrollment. Any remaining amount will be refunded to you after all charges for the 2017-2018 academic year are processed. In addition, each student is charged a supply fee to help pay for classroom supplies. There are additional charges in the kindergarten classroom for special activities such as swimming and skiing.

 

As a non-profit, Clark Fork School relies on fundraising activities to fund our strategic initiatives. We require parents contribute to our efforts by soliciting donations for our Wine Raffle and Annual Auction. 

 

 

Applicant requirements

As part of the application process, families may be asked to:

  • Provide contact information for an individual who has observed the child with his/her peers in an educational setting
  • Offer short written responses to a brief questionnaire
  • Participate in a short meeting with the Executive Director and tour our school
